Basic Cooperation Questions

1. Are you a factory or a trading company?

We are a factory with our own production line, founded in 1997. We started our brand flooring export business in 2020.

2. What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

The regular MOQ is 100 square meters or 1000 square feet. The price depends on the order quantity.

3. How is the price calculated? FOB, DDP or CIF?

The default quotation is EXW Factory. If you have your own freight forwarder, we can offer FOB Shanghai. If you need CIF or CFR, please let me know your destination port and I will provide the best rate. We also offer DDP door-to-door tax-included service.

4. What materials and thicknesses do you offer?

Materials include oak, American black walnut, teak, maple, okan and so on. The most popular thicknesses for export are 14–15mm and 18–20mm.

5. How about quality and environmental rating?

Our export quality is stable, meeting E0/E1 environmental standards. No strong odor, very safe for indoor use.

6. Do you have CE and FSC certification?

Yes, we have both CE and FSC certificates. I can send you the documents immediately.

7. How is the packaging? Will it be damaged during shipping?

We use strong export cartons and pallets with full corner protection. The damage rate is very low. We also use shrink film to protect the products from moisture.

8. How long is the delivery time?

Normally 25–35 days after deposit receipt and order confirmation

9. Can you do customization?

Yes, we accept OEM and private label customization. We can print your logo on cartons and labels.

10. Can you provide samples? Are they free?

We can provide samples. Samples are not free, but the sample fee will be fully refunded when you place a formal order.

11. Which countries do you mainly export to?

We mainly export to the USA, Middle East, Europe, Australia, Canada, Thailand, Singapore, etc.

12. What is the payment terms?

Normally 30% deposit by T/T, balance paid before shipment.

13. Is it wear-resistant? How long is its service life?

It has excellent wear resistance. Under normal use, it can last 15–25 years.

Quality-Related FAQs

1. Does your wood flooring easily warp or bend?

Our flooring is professionally dried and stabilized during production. The moisture content is controlled at 7%–10%. It will not warp easily in normal indoor environments as long as it is not exposed to long-term moisture.

2. Will the color fade over time?

We use high-quality UV coating, which is fade-resistant under normal indoor lighting. Long-term strong direct sunlight may cause slight color change, which is normal for all real wood products.

3. Is the surface scratch-resistant?

The surface has a high-strength wear layer, resistant to daily scratches from furniture, shoes and pets. We still recommend using furniture pads for better protection.

4. Is it waterproof?

It is water-resistant for daily use and can handle small spills. But it is not fully waterproof. Do not leave water on the surface for a long time and avoid wet mopping.

5. Is formaldehyde safe?

Absolutely safe. According to different market requirements, our products meet E0, E1 or CARB P2 standards, suitable for homes, offices and children’s rooms.

6. Are the sizes consistent?

We have strict size control with very small tolerance. The flooring fits tightly during installation with no obvious gaps.

7. Can this flooring be used with underfloor heating?

Yes, most of our engineered wood flooring is suitable for underfloor heating. Please keep the temperature stable and not too high.

Installation Loss Method & Glue Usage

1. How much extra should I prepare for installation loss?

Click-lock flooring can be assembled by hand or with a tapping block. For flat-lock flooring, glue is required for installation.

2. Why is there installation waste?

Boards need to be cut to fit walls, corners, door frames and irregular spaces. Some pieces become too short to use, so extra material is necessary.

3. Can you calculate the exact quantity?

Sure. Please send me the floor plan, and I will calculate the total area plus suggested wastage for you.

4. How to install the flooring?

Click-lock flooring can be assembled by hand or with a tapping block. For T&G system flooring, glue is required for installation.

5. Do we need glue for installation?

Normally no glue is needed for click-lock flooring. The locking system is tight enough, making fixing faster, cleaner and odor-free.

6. Can we glue it down if needed?

For some projects, it can be glued to the subfloor. But floating installation (no glue) is standard for most residential cases.

7. Do we need to nail it down?

No nailing required. It is a floating floor. Just lay underlay first, then fix the flooring on top.

8. Is it easy for local workers to fix?

Very easy. Most local installers are familiar with click-lock flooring and no special tools are needed.

9. How long does installation take?

For a normal house, a team of 2 workers can usually finish within 1–2 days, depending on the total area.
